Welcome to AIB Lex

We’ve got BIG PLANS for 2020!

Don’t miss seeing our amazing Daffodil Drift from New Circle Road between Harrodsburg and Nicholasville Road. Planted in honor of our 2017, 2018 and 2019 Community Champions Isabel Yates, Marcia Farris, and Elizabeth Pattengill, respectively, the three varieties of daffodils make a huge splash across one side of Wellington Park.

In October, yet another swath of 1,000 daffodil bulbs will be planted in honor of our 2020 Isabel Yates Community Champion Yvonne Giles. Location yet to be announced.

Look around town this year as Lexington-Fayette County’s new OFFICIAL FLOWER! AIB Lexington has been tirelessly working for over a year to make this happen, and now it’s a reality.

Our 2020 Celebrate! Lexington breakfast on March 19 at the Thomas Hunt Morgan House is next up on the agenda. We are looking forward to seeing an even larger group of attendees scarfing up fabulous silent auction items , amazing door prizes, and wonderful food, as well as informative and fun presentations that showcase the collaborative and engaging work being done in Lexington.

June 22-23, International Communities in Bloom Judges will be touring Lexington to provide professional input about how we might improve. Look for the new profile and the judges’ evaluation mid-summer.

AIB Lexington is a 501c3 nonprofit focused on improving life in Lexington-Fayette County.
