We’ve got BIG PLANS for 2019!
Don’t miss seeing our amazing Daffodil Drift from New Circle Road between Harrodsburg and Nicholasville Road. Planted in honor of our 2017 and 2018 Community Champions Isabel Yates and Marcia Farris, respectively, the two varieties of daffodils make a huge splash across one side of Wellington Park.
In October, yet another swath of 1,000 daffodil bulbs, white this time, will be planted in honor of our 2019 recipient of the newly named Isabel Yates Community Champion Award, Elizabeth Pattengill.
Our 2019 Celebrate! Lexington breakfast on March 14 at the Thomas Hunt Morgan House was another huge hit, with almost 80 participants scarfing up fabulous silent auction items and wonderful food, as well as informative and fun presentations by Greenhouse 17, Civic Lex, Richmond Road Corridor Project, BGT’s de Tours, Lexington Recycling, and UK’s Urban Forest Initiative.
June 25-26 International Communities in Bloom Judges will be touring Lexington to provide professional input about how we might improve. And best of all, AIB Lex is planning another Walking Tour!
The 2019 Downtown Walking Tour is in the planning process. It’s open to everyone, and offers insights into Lexington that few people know about! Watch this space for more information.
AIB Lexington is a 501c3 nonprofit focused on improving life in Lexington-Fayette County.
